This blog post is going to make me a little emotional… be prepared. Courtnie and I always tell people that we’re basically twins that were separated at birth. Court and her sisters are the sisters that I’ve never had. Before Grayson was born I would always tell my mom that I’d never be an aunt and she’d always reassure me that I’d be an aunt to the girls’ babies. She’s right. Courtnie and her sisters are the best sisters (and cousins) a girl could ever ask for.
We all grew up doing just about everything together, but Court and I have probably always been the closest because we’re just nine months apart. From preschool together to a countless amount of play dates at Grammy and Pappy’s, swimming trips and camp outs at the cabin. We’re joined at the hip.
We always joke and say we’ll be the crazy old ladies in the nursing home that never stop laughing. I am so thankful to have a best friend since birth.
Courtnie met Brad about a year and a half ago, just before all things corona stopped the world. Needless to say, they’ve been together ever since. Brad moved here to see Court more, started coming to our church and has become a part of our ever growing family. They make each other laugh because they’re always doing something so silly! They like being outside together or going on fun adventures.
I am so glad The Lord blessed them with each other. Courtnie is truly my best friend and I’ve always longed to see her Barbie wedding dreams come true. Can’t wait for their wedding in August!
We decided to do their engagement session at Blackwater Falls. Bradley grew up in Tucker County and loves West Virginia’s parks. Our night started with a hike down a steep hillside to Elakala Falls! Courtnie and I wore sandals and Brad was in dress shoes, but we made it just fine. It’s such a beautiful spot. One of Blackwater’s hidden gems!

I love a good twirl shot!!

Court’s ring is so pretty!!

Pendleton Point is one of the best spots at Blackwater Falls State Park for photos. The sunset light is SO good here!!

My favorites.

Congrats you two, we love you!
xoxo,

At my core, I’m a family girl, and that’s exactly why I photograph weddings the way I do.
You’re not just hiring me for beautiful portraits. You’re inviting me into one of the most sacred days of your life. I pay attention to the in-between moments - the way your dad squeezes your hand before walking you down the aisle, the quiet breath you take before the doors open, the way your grandmother watches you with pride.
I serve with intention and protect your peace, creating space for you to be fully present while I document your story in an artful, effortless way. Because when you trust me completely, you don’t just pose for the day, you live it. And that’s when yout images become timeless.
And I can't wait to get to know you!
