Marissa + Stephen | A Deep Creek Lake Proposal
A few weeks ago, I got an inquiry about a super amazing Deep Creek lake proposal. Stephen told me all about his plans to propose to his girlfriend of almost 11 years, Marissa. He planned the entire weekend getaway with their closest friends at Deep Creek Lake.
Deep Creek Lake is such a special place. I’ve photographed so many special moments at the lake and now got to photograph AN AMAZING proposal, one the frozen lake. Winter in Deep Creek is just magical and this evening was nothing less than that.
I arrived to find all of Stephen and Marissa’s friends putting up balloons, warming up food, and rushing around their Deep Creek Airbnb to make it just perfect to celebrate their engagement. They did SUCH good job! I snuck out the house and found Stephen and Marissa out on the frozen lake with their sweet pup. He dropped to his knee, pulled out the ring and she said YES!
It was pretty chilly, a balmy 10 degrees!! We got some beautiful “just engaged” portraits before going inside to celebrate with their friends!
