This Ashland Train Depot Wedding was absolutely beautiful! I feel like so often couples who get engaged can easily get caught up in the wedding planning and forget about the marriage part. Melinda and John are just one of those couples who were genuinely invested in each other. Surrounded by their loved ones, they said I do in the historic Ashland Train Depot and it was nothing short of incredible.
When Melinda and John first inquired last year, she told me about their story. Instantly, I knew I had to shoot their wedding. Since starting my business, I truly believe that my couples are different. Different in a good, actually amazing way. My couples truly understand the commitment of a lifelong and happy marriage.
I met Melinda and John in March when they drove to Tucker County for their engagement session. We browsed through the shops and artist galleries on Front Street Thomas and I just knew, they were made for each other.
You could feel that specialness throughout their wedding day. From the beautiful and sentimental details, to their incredibly sweet first look. I’m tearing up now just thinking about their heartfelt vows to God and each other. I even overheard one friend say to them “This is the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to”. With tears rolling down her face with a hug and a smile, she congratulated Melinda and John on their marriage.

After their super sweet first look we took some beautiful portraits! My favorite time with my couples is portraits on the wedding day. Melinda and John were soaking it all in.

Ahhh! The live music playing as Melinda walks down the aisle to John. Their beautiful vows to each other! Everyone teared up as they placed the rings on each other’s hand. Inside the Ashland Train Depot is beautifully white-washed exposed brick and large windows. It made for the perfect venue!

This is what it’s all about for me. I’ve photographed probably over 100 weddings and still to this day, I know each one is special. Each one is unique. Different décor, food and entertainment, sure. But every wedding tells another sweet couple’s unique love story. Congratulations, Melinda and John! May The Lord richly bless your marriage. It was an honor to document your wedding day.
xoxo,
Zoe

At my core, I’m a family girl, and that’s exactly why I photograph weddings the way I do.
You’re not just hiring me for beautiful portraits. You’re inviting me into one of the most sacred days of your life. I pay attention to the in-between moments - the way your dad squeezes your hand before walking you down the aisle, the quiet breath you take before the doors open, the way your grandmother watches you with pride.
I serve with intention and protect your peace, creating space for you to be fully present while I document your story in an artful, effortless way. Because when you trust me completely, you don’t just pose for the day, you live it. And that’s when yout images become timeless.
And I can't wait to get to know you!
