We started the day at The Stone House Inn, a charming and historic inn that also hosted the reception. It offered great natural light for Seirra’s getting ready portraits, and she had gathered a few special details for me to photograph. Her mom helped her into her dress, and one of the sweetest parts of the morning was capturing a few emotional moments between Seirra and her parents. The girls all got ready together, doing their own glam. Which really set the tone for how laid-back and genuine this day would be.
Some wedding days are filled with high-energy timelines and large-scale events, but Seirra and Zack’s day was all about intention, sweetness, and simplicity. From their quiet getting ready moments to their intimate church ceremony and heartfelt family gestures, this wedding was a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful.
From there, we headed to Zack’s family church. The ceremony was sweet, incredibly personal and intimate. Their families were wonderful…kind, supportive, and so proud. In fact, Zack’s parents mentioned knowing several other couples I’ve photographed in the past! It was such a lovely full-circle moment.
After the ceremony, we did a cute birdseed exit before heading to their family land for portraits. We took family photos in front of a barn and some portraits of just the two of them. It was very windy (like, next-level windy)! But Seirra and Zack were calm and so easy to work with, which made it all feel lighthearted and fun.
Once we arrived back at The Stone House Inn, Sierra and Zack were introduced into their reception. Their first dance and the parent dances were especially moving, filled with little emotional moments that stood out as highlights of the day.
Before the rain rolled in, we slipped back outside for a few more portraits of just the two of them. The wind had calmed a bit, and it was nice to give them a new backdrop and space to breathe before the rest of the evening continued.
Seirra wanted to celebrate her aunt’s birthday. So, after they cute their cake together, Sierra and Zack stuck a candle in another slice and brought it over to her. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture and truly summed up how family-focused and kind they are as a couple.
