[dropcap]I[/dropcap] absolutely love this time of year!! Don’t get me wrong, summer is my favorite, but I have a love for every season and the changes they bring. Heather and I are cousins. I get to see her about once a year at family reunions and usually, we get to catch up on life and then have to wait until the next year to do it all over again. Before our reunion this year, she reached out to me and told me about the wedding! I was so excited when she asked if I’d be her photographer. I LOVE weddings, but this one will be an extra-special favorite since it’s family.

Heather and Chance are such a fun couple! We spent the evening exploring and admiring the beautiful colors at Cooper’s Rock State Forest. It’s becoming one of my favorite places to shoot. We chatted all about the wedding plans and talked about their love story. Chance spent the evening getting Heather to giggle by making silly noises and whispering funny things in her ear and Heather could not stop smiling. I loved it! Genuine smiles, genuine love and so much fun, that’s what engagement sessions should be full of.

After we were done shooting they both talked about how much fun the evening was and how they were so excited for the wedding. I couldn’t agree more. Engagement sessions are the best way for me to connect with my couples and let them have fun while I take photos of them celebrating their love and upcoming marriage.
