So, Refresh… This idea of bringing like-minded people together began when I started my business. Let’s go back in time for a second… It’s 2016 and I’m 17. A college freshman who was walking through a season of unbearable pain, confusion and now, change. Thomas’s daddy passed away really unexpectedly that spring, we had faced other unexpected challenges and losses. 

I was ready for a fresh start. But I didn’t know exactly what that meant. I started my business, In His Image by Zoe. I knew it was going to be a place where people felt special. Where they felt like they belonged, and felt beautiful. Where they could feel their worth in Christ. But still, something was missing… 

Community

Finding your God-given purpose in life can sound overwhelming. Last November, when I attended an unforgettable conference, I felt that purpose come alive in me, again.. just like it did in the fall of 2016, when I knew God was calling me to serve others in a way that’s pleasing to Him and lets them feel their worth in Christ.

On the way back from Arizona packed in like sardines on a plane, seated by the sweetest little grandma excited to see her grandbabies, my brain ran wild with a thought. A small conference, make it more like a retreat. I LOVE hosting. I love people, I love Jesus. Mix all those together and what do you get? Refreshment, joy, love, peace, inspiration. The list goes on.

The Refresh Conference is for any Christian woman in business who needs a little restoring from good friends. Proverbs 27:9 says “Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God’s presence.” Good friends. The beginning of a friendship that would restore you when you’re down and help you achieve your dreams.

If you need community, if you need someone rooting for you in your corner. If you need a group of friends to pray for you when you’re walking through hard seasons or getting ready to make a big decision, Refresh is for you. Whether you’re a seasoned business owner, or just have the idea of being your own boss some day, Refresh is for you. It’s a place where you can come and worship God, seek wise counsel and build lasting friendships. It’s a place where you’ll feel challenged about what to do next, where you’ll start dreaming about the future God has planned for you, where you can come and rest.
