The Estate at River Run is an incredibly elegant mansion overlooking the James River. It is located between Charlottesville and Richmond Virginia. With over 20,000 square feet of stunning architecture, this venue’s castle-like feel is hard to beat. For sophisticated and upscale events, The Estate at River Run offers an array of amenities including overnight onsite lodging, a lovely pool house, a grand ballroom and two-level terrace. There truly is picturesque backdrops at every turn.

Today’s post features some of my favorite places throughout the venue.

The Stunning Foyer

As soon as you walk in the door of the manor, you are greeted by an elegant foyer. Two grand staircases are the perfect entrance for any bride to make her way down the aisle to see her groom. The twin crystal chandeliers add a splash of even more elegance of the room. When I first walked in here, I was blown away at the exquisite architecture. Also how beautiful is our bride?! Michelle, girl, you were a dream!!

Wedgewood Ballroom

After entering into the foyer, we made our way to the beautiful two-story Wedgewood ballroom. The natural light in this space is bound to take your breath away. There are countless features to this venue, but I absolutely loved the fireplace. It is framed by marble once owned by English royalty! How neat. Again, the crystal chandelier takes the cake with it’s breathtaking suspension below the delicately designed ceiling. This space would be perfect for a small reception or even a ceremony! I could just imagine the endless design opportunities. The Wedgewood Ballroom is my favorite room inside the manor!

The Bluestone Terraces

The two story terraces feature another double grand staircase. This rod iron railing makes for beautiful contrast to the brick. With the perfect views of the breathtaking James River, the terrace is the perfect place to host an awe-inspiring private affair. The space could easily accommodate a large tented gathering as well. I absolutely love the terraces! It has so many photo opportunities.

The Cameo Ballroom

The Cameo Ballroom is another elegant space that provides the perfect spot for intimate events. The natural light in this space during the day is also spectacular! This ballroom has the three double doorways that allow for the best access to the upper terrace. Again, the architecture in the manor home is absolutely stunning. Ornate details everywhere and those incredible crystal chandeliers will add the perfect elegant touch to any wedding!

The Estate at River Run is a venue unlike any other. The historic architecture, and its warm elegance make for the perfect space for any wedding or event. In any season, this venue is just spectacular. Whether you’re planning on a spring soiree, or an super fun summer gala, The Estate at River Run will be the ideal space for you and your guests!
