My Favorite Spring Activities

Personal, Things to do

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he ground is drying up, birds are singing and the temperatures are finally feeling like it’s *almost* Spring! I’m getting ready for the busyness that comes with warm weather and am really excited for this year’s shooting season!

When I’m not behind the camera capturing the pretty spring blooms and gorgeous couples or seniors here’s a list of things I love to do in my area! If you’re visiting me for a session and want to know the best places to eat and visit while you’re here, this post is for you!!

Hiking in the canyon

Yes, it’s true, there are many amazing hiking trails that surround me and sometimes I really take those gorgeous views for granted! When the cold weather breaks I love to go adventuring in the nearby Blackwater Canyon!! There are so many sights to see-from many cascading water falls to pretty mountain views, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Grab a treat at Tip Top

Another fun thing to do, even when it’s raining is to head over to Front Street Thomas, and spend some time going through all the fun shops. Lots of antiques and art to gaze out or buy!! It’s fun getting to know the owners and hanging out in a place that has so much history. Grab a treat a Tip Top, your choice of yummy coffee or in my case hot chocolate since I don’t like coffee, and taste the super good congo bars!!! They are so tasty!

Enjoy a Picnic Lunch

Two of my favorite places to eat in Davis are Hellbender Burritos and Sirianni’s Cafe both have some of the best food!! Sometimes they get a little crowded inside because they are so popular so I love to grab some to go and enjoy a picnic lunch at Blackwater Falls!!

Tucker Bolder Park

If you’ve got kiddos, or are a kid at heart like me you’ll enjoy hanging and climbing on the newly built Tucker Bolder Park. And let me tell you- it’s harder than it looks!!! These rocks were designed so everyone could have fun, so there are routes for every age and skill level. Gray had lots of fun in climbing today!

Tucker County Sunsets

If there’s one thing I love about living in these beautiful mountains, it’s the sunsets. I’ve photographed countless magnificent sunsets that have had me in awe of how blessed I am to have a God who gives us this glorious Earth to live on.

If you’re like me and are anxiously awaiting those budding trees and the smell of fresh cut grass don’t worry, Spring is just around the corner! I hope you come visit and take advantage of the many amazing things my neck of the woods has to offer! And don’t forget to book your Spring session!!!

xoxo,

Zoe
