Tuesdays in Thomas | The Honeymoon Edition

Personal

It’s a cold morning in the mountains of Thomas. Even though I’ve been decorating for Christmas, I’ve really been missing the ocean.

As if the Corona changing our wedding plans a zillion times wasn’t enough… the week of our wedding, we had to find a new place to honeymoon because a hurricane hit our beloved Oak Island. Luckily, just two days before the wedding, I was able to book a cute little condo on Kure Beach, just a little north of where we were supposed to stay.

It took us about 1o(ish) hours driving. After about 8 hours in, I wasn’t sure if Tee would make it, haha! We were pretty tired by the time we reached the ocean!

We spent the week just hanging by the water, visiting little shops at Southport and eating great food. Thomas even got to play golf at Wilmington’s Municipal Golf Course (which he loved)! I loved riding in the cart and taking in the beautiful scenery. It was the perfect plan B honeymoon.

We we’re on the end of Kure Beach, really close to Fort Fisher and walked there almost every night. I loved this neon yellow grass! So cool!!!

One night we chased a beautiful sunset through these cool trees and got eaten up by bugs!!!!!! Poor Tee, I think the pictures were worth it 😉

You can’t beat a sunrise on the ocean. My goodness how beautiful.

What photographer goes to the beach on her honeymoon and doesn’t shoot pictures of their rings?!

The last walk on the beach before heading home. I miss it so much!

I booked honeymoon photos with the lovely Michael Anastasia Photography and we did this session on the last night at Kure Beach. Look how blue the water was!!! She did such a good job.

Well, that’s all for now, folks! Come back next week for some great places to shop local in Thomas!!!

xoxo,
Zoe
