[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here’s no question that I truly love where we live. Tucker County is a true all seasons place to visit, if you don’t mind some snowy scenes and colder weather! Although our past winters have been pretty mild compared to usual, the average snowfall in Tucker county is a whopping 86 inches every year. Wow!!

So if you’re up for a winter vacay and need some ideas for fun things to do in Tucker County this post is for you!!!

1. Skiing
   Almost everyone who comes to visit us in the winter is usually super excited about ski season! This winter is going to be full of new things for Tucker, as skiers await the unveil of the newly renovated Timberline! Canaan Valley Resort also has a ski area that everyone loves!
2. Sled Run 

   Blackwater Falls’ sled run is fun for all ages! It’s usually open from mid-December thru the end of February and hosts a ton of groups and families from all over. I personally love skiing and sledding but just haven’t been in a LONG time!! Maybe this year we will have some time for it!

3. Blackwater falls
   Of course this is one of the most popular spots to visit in the summer, but look how pretty Blackwater is in the winter!! Just be careful when walking on the slippery trails and steps. I love seeing all the snow covered trees.
4. Canaan Valley Resort
   Canaan Valley has such an amazing resort!! From ice skating to snow tubing, XC skiing and snowboarding, there are plenty of activities to keep your family occupied for a fun getaway!
5. Sight seeing
   Of course there are plenty of places to go and see some beautiful scenes!! From Davis to Canaan Valley, my favorites are Pendleton Point, Lindy Point, and Dolly Sods wilderness. So many amazing views.
6. Siriannis Pizza
   If you need a good meal after your winter activities head on over to Siriannis cafe for some pizza, pasta or subs! So many choices.
7. Milo’s Cafe and Restaurant
   When in Davis and you need a place that has great breakfast you need to stop at Milo’s! My favorite here is the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit!
8. Trail Head Coffee Shop
   If you like coffee and breakfast this place is great in Davis.
9. TipTop Coffee
   The best coffee, hot chocolate and pastries, this is the place to be!!
10. Front Street Thomas Shops
    Everyone knows my love for small business! Go and support the shops on front street Thomas!! They have something for everyone. I love visiting and shopping here! Please don’t forget to #supportsmallbusiness and #shopsmall!!
