One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to serve other creatives.
Whether I’m documenting a wedding day or photographing another business owner, I genuinely love helping people tell their story well. That’s exactly what made my time at Grace in Motion so special.
When Courtney Cannon invited me to join her team during Grace in Motion, I was incredibly honored. My role looked a little different than photographing a wedding, I was there to document the behind-the-scenes moments, capture brand imagery, and create updated headshots for many of the talented vendors who helped make the week possible.
It was such a meaningful experience from beginning to end.

If you know Courtney, you know she has a heart for serving others.
I’ve admired her for years, not just because she’s an incredibly talented photographer, but because of the way she pours into people.
Several years ago, I had the opportunity to be part of her very first mastermind, and I’ve continued to learn from her ever since. Her willingness to openly share what she’s learned, encourage other photographers, and genuinely celebrate the success of others is something I deeply respect.
Watching her lead Grace in Motion reminded me why mentorship and community matter so much in this industry.
One thing I love about Courtney’s business is that it extends far beyond photographing beautiful weddings.
She has created an educational experience that helps photographers grow—not only in their craft, but in the way they serve their couples, build their businesses, and create meaningful client experiences.
Getting to document those educational moments behind the scenes gave me an entirely new appreciation for the amount of work, intention, and care that goes into creating an experience like Grace in Motion.
There were conversations happening everywhere.
Ideas being shared. Encouragement being given. Friendships being built.
Those are the kinds of moments I love documenting.
One of the best parts of the week was getting to work alongside so many incredible vendors. Every planner, florist, makeup artist, and creative entrepreneur brought something unique to the experience, and it was such a joy to document the faces behind their businesses.
